I thought women were supposed to turn into their Mothers (not a bad thing in my case), but I had
no idea I would turn into my Dad!!!
I have inherited many many things from my Dad, most great but there are some not so good...
*Weak stomach
*Kidney stones
*Migraine headaches
*Stomach ulcers
*The strange obession with being 2 hours early to anything, and the FEAR of being late (late=rude)
*Strange attraction to working with the youth
*Enjoy yard work....
Growing up did you ever hear "I thought I told you to mow the lawn" or "There are weeds that need to be picked" or maybe "go rake the leaves"? Well I never heard anything of those things instead I heard..."You can not mow the lawn so quit asking, you might chop your toes off" or "Hey everybody lets go outside and work in the yard". It was something I always found bizarre and never really appreciated, until now.
Today Todd and I finished up the majority of our yard. We woke up early and picked weeds, shoveled rocks, smoothed the dirt around to make it ideal for seed, and raked the flower beds and garden. We then experienced hydro seeding, we had a guy come over and spray our yard. It was quite exciting and we can't wait to see our beautiful lawn in 3-6 weeks.

All and all it was a hard, long, and exhausting day, but we had a good time!!

I love my Mom for many many reasons, but the first and foremost reason, is she is always there. No matter what time it is I can always call and she will stop what she is doing to listen. She gets me through the tough times, and helps me enjoy the good times. My Mom is full of wisdom and strength. She knows a little bit about everything, and researches that which she doesn't know, she is literally my Webster.
Holy Macaroni....I was bit by the Twilight bug. I'm sure you have all heard of this series, but I was a bit slow to follow the lead. I remember hearing my Mom and my sister talk about this great book about vampires, a couple of years ago. I thought they were crazy and out of their minds, a book about vampires..HA!! But then I was having a girls night with some ladies in our ward, and these books were all they were talking about. I thought they were insane, but decided I would give them a chance. And man oh man was I hooked.
It finally happened, 7 semesters and I have an associates degree!! It has been a long, frustrating, and overwhelming process, but it is now finished!! (I will never need another math course in my life) I would like to make one suggestion to all of those who are thinking about going back, do not move or transfer colleges while trying to get a degree. You will not only get ripped off financially, but you will be set back dramatically!!!! I am however thankful that I have stuck with this. Todd was my driving force and my family was behind him! Thanks to everyone, but now it is done and everyone can get off of my back! Yay!!!
