New meaning..

Well there is now new meaning and deeper understanding when I read the phrase "the great and dreadful day" I had always read that and understood what it meant but had never really felt it. Until today that is...It finally happened, we sold our house. After 138 days on the market we got a bite. I got a call from our realtor early in the morning letting us know that we had an offer, and after 8 hours of negotiating we finally came to an agreement.




There it is, our wonderful and charming home. I think this is the first home that Todd and I actually felt like we could live there forever. We are truly going to miss it. We are very lucky to have had the opportunity to live in such wonderful area. We are going to miss mid afternoon calls from Britt across the street letting me know Hunter has done something new and exciting, our Thursday night parties full of dinner, dessert, and of course the Greys Anatomy and Office drama. We are going to miss the dog socials with the dogs across the street, and fabulous food cooked by Miss Margie and the "manly" activities Doug walked Todd through. The deer and turkey just wondering through the area. Jen and Harrison outside playing. We are going to miss it all very much. We are thankful for that period in our life and the friends we met and along the way. But time doesnt stop moving and we are here in Utah now and are looking forward to the next chapter. So today has shed all new light on the phrase "great and dreadful".

Since we've been gone...

Well since we moved from the wonderful and ever so lovely TN back to the mountains and dry heat of Utah we have thrown ourselves into the activities and adventures that Todd loved and missed so desperately. And I have to admit I loved it too. There is something exciting and rejuvenating about sleeping in tent and eating food cooked in a camp fire. And four wheeling through the beautiful trees and seeing the wildlife in their element. So here are just a few wonderful moments we have had thus far...

Well it was around 100 degrees and very very dusty on our ride so Kaylee couldnt resit a nice cool swim in Puffer Lake...

Here are our good friends Dan and Venice's kids Brody and Seth taking in the surroundings. This trip we were all up in Beaver Canyon, beautiful camping area. They officially got me excited about being in the outdoors. Thanks Guys!!!

That was a fun trip. We wish we could have stayed longer but we had to get back for Todd's job. On this trip we had also gone swimming in "Lake Plentiful" well actually its called Lake Starvation but I wasn't so fond of the name so I thought I would rename it to something a little more upbeat. We had a lot of fun that trip!!!

Thanks to Todd and his fun friends I have realized that I really do enjoy camping and the outdoors. So there will be many more adventures to come!!

We have arrived

Well after many many discussions and persuasions we finally did it. We got our very own blog. I think it was the sweet testimony of a lady in our ward this past Sunday that finally did it. She was talking about the pioneers and the importance of their stories and how they have touched her and so many others and then she said it.."we should all be writing in a journal to help preserve our family history for generations to come." Well I dont think we have that interesting of a life but I figure maybe someday somebody will care. So instead of setting time aside each day to write in a journal (that will probably get lost in one of our many moves) why not blog it online and have it for all of time.

So welcome to Todd and I's very exciting life. We truly are Livin' and Lovin'....
